Every Picture Tells A Story

Lisa Scheer took this picture at a downtown bridge on Friday.

The day we were there, someone was staying at that bridge. A homeless young woman. She was at work and I called her to let her know we were there and make sure it was OK that Lisa was taking pictures.

This weekend, all of her belongings ended up in the pile at the bottom of the bridge, too — twice — after a visit from police on Saturday night. She ran when they came, so she didn’t see who dumped her stuff, either night.

It was raining Saturday night and all her things got wet. She dragged them back up the bridge, but before they dried, they got dumped back down again on Sunday.

I don’t have a picture of this part of the story. And it isn’t over anyway. Honestly? Some days I’m sure it never ends.
