My video slideshow from the fundraiser. I sat beside fellow blogger and future mayor Billy Jones (see photo in slideshow — plus one of the lovely Liz Seymour!) Audio from Cakalak Thunder. Enjoy.
Trivia: Anybody remember what used to be at 1214 Grove Street?

Hey, who’s that little hottie sitting beside of me?
Spoken like a true politician!
(now cut that out…)
You’re right, I’ve been naughty. I’m sorry.
It used to be the corporate headquarters for the Buy Rite grocery store chain.
Dave, that’s very interesting and I had no idea.
But this is what I was thinking of.
Oh yeah, well, it was that too.
We tore out the dressing room wall the first day we had occupancy.
I was talking to a friend last night about how you can learn a lot about a neighborhood by looking at the history of its buildings. Some neighborhoods sort of rise and fall. Others, like Glenwood, seem to go in cycles of prosperity and want. I think that the HIVE will help to usher in a new period of hope for that part of Glenwood. I sure hope so.
