OK, not to be cynical, but wouldn’t it be better if people took the $ that they would have spent eating out and just give all of it to GUM?

Michele - in response to Marshall’s question and to your “it would be but….” …The deal is people want to feel good about doing something nice…Eating out on a mission night is a nice way to help hungry people and it makes people feel like they’re helping…which they are…at a distance.
..What’s really nice to me is being nice to hungry people - even when they’re not nice and being nice is giving a hungry person YOUR plate full of good food…People don’t have to give up anything by eating out and it makes them feel good to think they’re helping out…so it goes…Who REALLY cares? GUM got some money to help our friends eat and that is good,
