Feeding homeless and hungry friends this week: What we still need

A bunch of us are collaborating to feed homeless and hungry friends for breakfast tomorrow and Friday, and also dinner on Friday, since we found out that the Hospitality House is closed this week. We’re planning for 180-200 people at each meal. Some people have asked what we still need.
Need:
- whole bananas and/or cut up and ready to serve watermelons for 180-200 people
- cooked, prepared, ready to serve, fried chicken (400 pieces; we didn’t know we’d have money until too late to order — anyone have chicken connections?)
- desserts (we have some, more are welcome!)
Want:
- bottled water or sports drinks (12 or 20 oz. bottles, no limit, we give these out all the time!)
- mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, potato salad, slaw (we’d love to get any one or combo of these to serve 180-200, from a restaurant or grocery, prepared and ready to serve for Friday evening’s meal)
Anything else cool and appropriate that you can think of?
Financial donations are welcome! If we receive any donations above the amount we spend, that total amount will be set aside for the day center fund, which will benefit all our homeless friends in Greensboro. You may donate online here. (For online donations, you MUST type in “homeless meals 8/14-15″ under designation in order for us to receive your donation.)
